Let’s Make an Opera! An Intergenerational Workshop

About the Workshop

Opera singers and passionate teaching artists Chabrelle Williams and Elise Mark will co-teach this workshop, where we'll introduce a variety of elements of opera and then apply those concepts by co-creating an own opera story with story, set design, music!

Everyone is welcome to participate in this intergenerational workshop that celebrates intergenerational learning and creative collaboration!

About Elise

Elise Mark is a captivating storyteller and soprano with over a decade of global performance experience. Alongside her passion for the stage, Elise is dedicated to teaching and fostering creativity across all age and skill levels. She recently founded Creative Becoming, a community for artists to come together and collaborate in Philadelphia and beyond. Elise believes that by nurturing talent and building community, we can create a better world. With her performance background, teaching skills, and community building expertise, Elise is poised to make a meaningful impact on the music world and beyond.

About Chabrelle

Chabrelle Williams is a soprano who adores storytelling. She has been a professional opera singer for over a decade and has gotten to tell some truly amazing stories both nationally and internationally. Her journey as an opera singer gave her both the courage and skillset to help others find their own creative voice. As a teaching artist, her goal is to always make sure people feel safe enough to express themselves whenever and however they would like!
